Joel Kelm, CEO
Joel Kelm is the Founder and CEO of Kraken Defense Group (USA) and Kraken Defense Group-Global. He began his career in private security as a DoD contractor after 9/11, later working as a security guard and manager for several high-net-worth communities. With nearly 20 years of experience in emergency medicine and a background in fire safety as an AEMT instructor and leader, Joel returned to the Close Protection sector after witnessing the increasing violence against CEOs and leaders. His vision is to create a firm that recruits the brightest and most skilled talent offering tailored, cost-effective security programs that prioritize client safety.
